Woman of the Month: Stacey Garcia

Laci Greer

We are excited to highlight Stacey Garcia, the inspiring Director of Next Generations Ministry at GodChasers Church, as our Woman of the Month! Stacey’s dedication to faith, service, and leadership has made a profound impact on those around her. Her journey is a testament to resilience, passion, and the power of faith-driven leadership.

Growing up as a Pastor’s kid, Stacey developed a deep-rooted passion for serving others and fostering a sense of community. This foundation led her to pursue a college education in Biblical Theology, equipping her with a strong understanding of scripture and ministry leadership. Today, as the Director of Next Generations Ministry, she oversees programs designed to empower young individuals, helping them grow spiritually and preparing them for life’s challenges.

At GodChasers Church, Stacey has had the privilege of growing the children's ministry from a small program serving preschool and elementary-aged kids into a thriving, inclusive ministry that now nurtures the spiritual growth of children from birth to college, including those with special needs. Through intentional planning, innovative lesson designs, and a heart for building relationships, she has expanded the ministry's reach, ensuring that every child—regardless of age or ability—feels seen, valued, and equipped in their faith journey. This transformation has turned the ministry into a vibrant and nurturing community, embracing every stage of life and fostering a strong foundation of faith for the next generation.

Beyond ministry, Stacey has also built a career in behavioral health, earning her Registered Behavior Technician license and certification in Family Crisis Intervention. This expertise allows her to support individuals and families through difficult times with both compassion and professional knowledge. Her dedication to service extends beyond the church, as she continuously seeks ways to uplift and support those in need.

Stacey has faced her own set of challenges, balancing her calling with personal struggles, including raising two special needs children while managing an autoimmune disease. Despite these obstacles, she continues to lead with strength and faith, proving that challenges do not define us—our response to them does.

She lives by the powerful mantra: “Fear says, ‘what if?’ Faith says, ‘even if.’” This quote reflects her unwavering belief in faith over fear, a principle that guides her both in life and leadership.

For women aspiring to succeed in ministry and leadership, Stacey’s advice is simple yet profound: "Be ready to own the hustle, do not let it own you." She encourages women to pursue their passions with dedication while maintaining balance and purpose.

Stacey Garcia’s story is one of faith, perseverance, and service. Her work in both ministry and behavioral health continues to inspire and uplift those she encounters. She embodies what it means to be a leader who not only serves but also empowers others to rise.
