Event Recap: saturday school for bosses: women's entrepreneur conference

On September 6th, 2025, San Antonio came alive as Female Executives of Texas (FETX) hosted its 4th Annual Saturday School for Bosses: Women’s Entrepreneur Conference. This much-anticipated event once again proved why this space is so powerful—bringing women of color together for a day filled with education, fun, and sisterhood.

The day featured an incredible lineup of powerhouse women sharing knowledge and empowering attendees, including Erica Valadez, Business Development Officer, who spoke about building lasting relationships in business; Morgan Taplin, who led a dynamic session

on leveraging social media to grow your business and connect authentically with your audience; and Dr. Morgan Jones, Founder of Solaire Voices, who inspired the room with tips on finding and using your authentic voice in business. To wrap up the event with energy and joy, YoYo, Line Dance Instructor, got everyone moving with a fun and engaging class, proving that confidence and movement are part of leadership too.

From 10 AM to 2 PM, women entrepreneurs enjoyed storytelling, confidence, finance, and creativity workshops designed to provide actionable strategies for business growth, while networking with like-minded leaders. The addition of line dancing and a live DJ brought a vibrant and uplifting energy, reminding everyone that professional growth and personal joy go hand in hand.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to Second Baptist Community Center and Keith Jackson for opening your doors, Chef Vickie V and Mama Tori Warford for preparing the incredible lunch, Nola Brunch SA and Bird Bakery for starting the morning off with delicious treats, Black Diamondz Cheer for welcoming guests and performing, @ms.suggajones for closing out the day with an unforgettable line dance class, and our official FETX DJ, @vonniequefanci, for always setting the perfect vibe.

The Saturday School for Bosses continues to grow each year, fostering a network of women who are passionate about collaboration over competition.
